From the class: ” We should know that learning to cherish others is the best method for establishing world peace in general, and for our own peace of mind in particular. “
– Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche
These public service prayers for world peace were prepared by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche and extracted from texts by Bodhisattva Shantideva and Bodhisattva Langri Tangpa.
Each class includes meditations and a teaching from “The New Eight Steps to Happiness” by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche. This book is a commentary to Bodhisattva Langri Tangpa’s Eight Verses of Training the Mind, a famous poem written almost one-thousand years ago but as relevant today as it was then.
Prayer booklet and recording of “Prayers for World Peace” can be purchased here.
