Mahayana Sutra of The Three Superior Heaps

A Purification Practice

This weekly puja at many Kadampa Buddhist Centres relies upon thirty five Buddhas who have special powers to purify negativities and downfalls in those who recite their names with faith. These Buddhas are visualized and their names recited as part of the purification practice known as Mahayana Sutra of The Three Superior Heaps or The Bodhisattva’s Confession of Moral Downfalls.

A brief explanation of this practice can be found in the prayer booklet of the same name, and a full explanation can be found in the book The Bodhisattva Vow.
