Living lightly - meditating on ultimate truth

A half-day urban retreat

Date: Saturday, March 30

Time: 10am – 1pm

Cost: $25 (free for members)

Location: Kadampa Meditation Centre, 631 Crawford St., Toronto, M6G 3K1

About the Course

There are three reasons why we need to study and practise Buddha’s teachings:

  • to develop our wisdom
  • to cultivate a good heart
  • to develop and maintain a peaceful state of mind

In this course, we will focus on the first of these, how to develop our wisdom. If we make no effort to do this, we shall always remain ignorant of ultimate truth, the true nature of reality. Although we wish for happiness, our ignorance leads us to engage in non-virtuous actions, which are the main cause of all our suffering.

This course is open to everyone. Beginners are welcome.
