A new year is the perfect time to consider how we might strengthen our Buddhist practice, especially if something seems to be missing. This month we will look at simple ways we can enhance our practice.
January 13: The Power of Offerings
Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche says, “The practice of offering is a very important preparation since it creates a vast amount of merit and makes our mind very strong.”
Meditation: Making visualized offerings
January 20: Clean the slate
“If we do no purification, our negative karma will increase as time goes by and we will definitely experience its painful results.” – Geshe Kelsang Gyatso
Meditation: Purifying specific karma
January 27: Continuous drops of water
One of the most important things we can do in our spiritual practice is to give ourselves lots of encouragement. Whether we are progressing quickly or slowly, we need to be cheering ourselves on, or we will become discouraged, and possibly give up. 😄 😄
Meditation: Developing Dharma Jewels within our mind
