About the Course:

Every day we encounter hundreds of situations we do not like, from stubbing our toe or having a disagreement with someone to having a precarious financial situation. Often, we are prevented from doing the things that we like to do or enjoying the company of people we love. Instead, many unwanted things happen to us. Our normal reaction to all these occurrences is to become unhappy, depressed, anxious or discouraged.

Since it is impossible to fulfill all our desires or to stop all unwanted things from happening to us, we need to find a different way of relating to frustrated desires and unwanted occurrences. By learning to think with patient acceptance and wisdom, our mind will remain at peace all the time. Since our mind is the creator of all the things we experience, by changing our mind, we change our life!

 

About the Teacher:

Tracy is a student on the Foundation Program and has been a sincere practitioner at KMC Canada for many years. She presents Buddha’s teachings in a light and practical way that is suitable for everyone and easily applicable in our daily lives.

Each session includes a talk and guided meditations. This course uses the prayer booklet Prayers for Meditation, which can be downloaded from our online shop here.

Schedule:

Session one: 10:00 – 11:15 am – Teaching with meditation

Session two: 11:45 am – 1:00 pm – Teaching with meditation
