Kadampa Meditation Centre Canada (KMCC) was established by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche in 2008 to offer the people of Toronto in particular, and Canada generally, the opportunity to listen to, contemplate, and meditate on the ancient teachings of Buddha in a modern setting.
KMCC is the National Kadampa Temple of Canada and is part of the New Kadampa Tradition – International Kadampa Buddhist Union (NKT-IKBU), a non-profit organization with a global network of over 1,200 Centres and groups in over 45 countries.
As a registered charity the Centre is run solely by volunteers. During open hours there is a volunteer receptionist who can answer any questions and tell you more about the Centre. We offer regular classes, courses for beginners and those looking for deeper study and meditation.
Located in downtown Toronto, close to ‘Little Italy’, KMCC is a peaceful oasis where anyone can learn methods to experience lasting happiness. Everybody is welcome!
